v11.9.0
A big one for the penalty box: shared timers, serve times per penalty type and walk-in serves. Penalty types now show in your language, and reporters get a short window to fix their own penalty.
Penalty box
- Technical officials: Every box device now counts down the same serve, and a phone that restarts picks the running timer back up. Each tile shows the athlete's name, country and gender under the bib, plus who started the serve, and only that official hears the alarm.
- The box stopwatch lets you tap Start first and type the bib after. It joins a serve that's already running or starts the athlete's open penalty, and on phones it sits above the tiles, opened from the toolbar.
- With Walk-in serves switched on for a box, an athlete with no report yet can serve as a walk-in. The referee's report merges with it on its own; race control can filter open walk-ins and use Find a match, Merge, Unmerge or No report expected for the rest.
Penalties
- Penalty types now appear in your language across the app, and Early Start is always a stop-and-go penalty.
- The penalty form has a fresh look: one colour-coded list of types after the number pad, with drafting on top and DSQ at the bottom, and a clearer evidence card. Add DSQ in the penalty menu swaps a penalty for a DSQ once you submit it.
- Technical officials: When the race allows it, you can cancel your own penalty or change its athlete number for a few minutes after reporting. A countdown shows how long you have left.
Race control
- On the web, each race tile has a clear blue Race control button. The race log names the athlete in each row, and its buttons now read Add note and Report.
- The Team tab and the ready check open a person card with that official's ready check, phone and location, where you can ask just that official again.
Athlete check-in
- Race control's Athletes tab has an Athlete check-in view with station progress, status filters and who's missing where. Technical delegates can see check-in read-only, in race control and in race mode.
- Officials who can manage check-in can Hold and Release an athlete from the athlete card. An escalated check notifies the people set up for check-in notifications, with the bib, the check and the reason.
Event setup
- Technical delegates: The race editor and race templates can set a serve time for any penalty type, and the second race time is now labelled Drafting / blue card penalty. They also hold the walk-in switch for each box and the reporter's correction window.
- New officials and new races get a default official role. Not in Race and the default role can't be combined with other roles, and Not in Race officials are left out of the Team tab and the ready check. Role changes now wait for Apply on the web or Save on the phone.
- Events without a time zone ask you to pick a place before saving. Start lists only update on their own for races with Athlete sync switched on.
Voice and AI
- A voice report that fails now tells you why in your language: no penalty type matched, no speech was heard, or it couldn't be read.
- Voice input and race control's Report need the Can use AI permission, which is off by default for technical delegates and organisation admins.
- Organisation admins: Replies in the AI event assistant, and your own messages, have a copy button.
Organisation
- Organisation admins: Event size, crews and re-import moved to a new Admin tab in the event editor.
- The creator of an imported event gets the organisation admin role again, so they show up in the Users list.
Public API
- Organisation admins: Penalty webhooks now send the penalty type's id and name, the athlete number and walk-in details, and also fire when a published penalty is cancelled, declined or protested.
- Webhook subscriptions return ISO times, and a disabled webhook can be switched back on, in the app or through the API.
Behind the scenes
- Penalties and incidents filed offline upload sooner, even without photos and even after the app was closed.
- iPhones no longer warn "Not saved" about a report that was saved.
- Resending from the watch no longer files a duplicate report, and leaving race mode while offline no longer hangs.
