Signing in
Creating an account
Open RaceRanger and tap Create Account. You can sign up with:
- Email and password — enter your email, choose a password, and verify your email address via the confirmation link sent to your inbox.
- Google — tap the Google button to use your existing Google account.
- Apple — tap the Apple button (iOS only) to use your Apple ID.
After creating your account, you'll be asked to set up your profile.

Setting up your profile
Enter your first name, last name, and optionally add a profile photo. This information is visible to other officials in your events, so use your real name.
Your profile also stores your preferred language. RaceRanger is available in English, Czech, French, Spanish, and German.
Your first look at the app
Every new account is automatically added to a test event for one week. This gives you a chance to explore the app — see what the interface looks like, tap through the screens, and get comfortable before your first real event.

After the week is up, the test event is removed. From then on, you join events via QR code.
After signing in
Every time you sign in, RaceRanger shows a Location Tracking notice that explains how the app may share your position while you're in an active race. Tap Acknowledge to dismiss it and continue to your events. This appears on every sign-in (not just the first install), so the policy is always shown before tracking can start.
See Location tracking for what is and isn't shared.
Forgot your password?
On the sign-in screen, tap Forgot Password and enter your email. You'll receive a reset link. This only applies to email/password accounts — Google and Apple sign-in are managed through those providers.
Signing out
Open Settings from the app menu and tap Sign Out.
