Creating an organisation

An organisation is the top-level container in RaceRanger. All events, users, and settings live under it. Most federations or event series have one organisation.

How organisations are created

Organisations are created by the RaceRanger team. This is not a self-service process — contact RaceRanger to set up your organisation.

Once created, you'll be assigned as the organisation admin and can start configuring settings and inviting members.

Organisation settings

After your organisation is set up, you can configure:

  • Name and local name — the display name, plus an optional localised version.
  • Logo — displayed in the app and on reports.
  • Contact email — visible to members.
  • URL — your organisation's website.
  • PDF documents — attach documents (rules, guidelines) that are available to all members.
  • Sport — triathlon or cycling. This is configured by the RaceRanger team.
  • TO assignments — enable or disable the granular TO assignment system for events.
  • AI assistant — enable the AI event-setup assistant for this organisation's events. Set up by the RaceRanger team.

API integration

Some organisations have an API connection that allows automatic search and pre-fill of event and race data. If your organisation has this integration, event creation and athlete import are partially automated.

Organisations without API integration create events and manage data manually through the app.

Multiple organisations

A user can belong to multiple organisations. Each organisation has its own events, roles, and settings. Switch between organisations from the organisations list.
