v11.8.3
A safer QR sign-in for shared devices, clear limits on photos and videos, automatic clean-up of check-in media after an event, and a batch of fixes for merged races, race reports and invitations.
Signing in
- QR sign-in on a shared device now asks you to confirm: scan the code with the scanner in race mode, then tap Approve sign-in. Links and forwarded codes can't approve a sign-in, and an expired or used code tells you to show a new one.
Photos and videos
- Each penalty, incident and chat message holds up to 50 photos and 20 videos. The add buttons switch off once it's full, and the app tells you if some of your picks weren't added.
- Photos and videos saved from a chat onto a penalty or incident now stay in the chat message as well.
- On iPhone and iPad, saving downloaded photos and videos to your photo library works properly.
Penalties and incidents
- Technical officials: Reporting on a merged race no longer crashes on a slow connection, and penalties from voice or the watch land on the race the athlete's number belongs to.
Athlete check-in
- Check-in photos, signatures and athlete PDFs are deleted 72 hours after an event closes. Athletes with an open matter, such as an unresolved escalation or a DSQ, keep theirs for longer.
Organisation
- Organisation admins: People who joined only through an event leave your organisation's Pending list once their events are over, and return if an event is reopened.
- Re-sending an invitation to someone already in the event no longer takes away their access.
- Officials removed from an event stop receiving its notifications and lose access to its race control.
Reports
- Generating a race report a second time no longer breaks its download link.
Public API
- Organisation admins: Replayed write requests are now marked with an
Idempotent-Replayedheader, a retry while the first attempt is still running returns409, and the API returns503withRetry-Afterwhen it briefly can't check rate limits. - Listing a webhook's recent deliveries now works, and org-wide keys only see events of their own organisation.
Behind the scenes
- Live location on Android keeps updating reliably, even after the app has been closed for a while.
